Accessibility statement
This website has been designed to be accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. It is also intended to meet the requirements of the UK Equality Act 2010.
The website adheres to most of the available standards and guidelines, in particular:
- Where possible, this website endeavours to conform to level Triple-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.
- This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. The site should display correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant XHTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.
- Font sizes are relative: that is, text size is displayed in sizes which are a percentage of you browser's default setting. You can make the font sizes bigger or smaller by using the font size commands on your Web browser.
- Pages have been styled using CSS so that when printed the navigation menu and the footers are omitted.
- All images used on this site have alternative text tags. The use of images has been kept to a minimum to maximise download speed and accessibility to sight impaired users.
